KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 31 — Bersih 2.0 today pledged that its push for institutional reforms and the resignation of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak will not end with the weekend’s Bersih 4 rally.
The group’s chairman Maria Chin Abdullah said the fight will go on until the Putrajaya institutes key democratic reforms that were part of the group’s demands made during the two-day protest.
Chin claimed half a million had turned up, which proved that majority of Malaysians are supportive of Bersih 2.0’s reform push.
“It will not end here…we will continue to push for reforms and for Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s resignation,” Chin told a press conference here.
