DAP stalwart Lim Kit Siang said that the proposal to have former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad back in Putrajaya would be the ‘worst’ possible move and would be the worst solution for the problems faced by Malaysians.

Tan Sri Zainuddin Maidin, the former Information Minister had recently suggested that Dr Mahathir could be given a role in the cabinet to tackle the problems involving racial, religious and economic issues. Kit Siang, who has been a long-time rival with Dr Mahathir said that appointing the former premier is like putting up a no-confidence vote against the current prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and his ability to lead the government.
