Social activist Datin Paduka Marina Mahathir, who came under fire from Malay-rights wing group Perkasa for her kind gesture of handling a bouquet of flowers to Christians at the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes on Sunday said that Perkasa talk too much rubbish.

She was accused for seeking cheap publicity for her support of the Christians in the Allah controversy where she did not want to comment about Perkasa. The daughter of former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said this after attending the first NUCC (National Unity Consultative Council) meeting where she did not want to be drawn into the controversy and publicity that Perkasa seeks. Irwan Fahmi Ideris, the Perkasa Youth Chief said that Marina should have stood by the Muslims so that the word Allah is not used by the Christians.
