MCA Youth sends 141 resignation forms to DAP for filing to stop PAS’ hudud. Don’t they have better things to do?

The passing of the amendment to implement Hudud laws in Kelantan has brought a lot of criticism. Politicians from BN had a field day attacking their opposition rivals and that included MCA Youth who ‘made a trip’ to the DAP headquarters in Jalan Yew, demanding DAP to resign for betraying the Chinese.

According to Chong Sin Woon, the MCA Youth chief, he and 30 of the members in the movement want DAP to apologize to all Malaysians for failing to protect the Federal Constitution. The irony was that so did MCA.

In their sarcastic gesture, MCA Youth sent 141 resignation forms to the 104 DAP state assemblymen and 37 Members of Parliament to demand for their resignation.

On the gesture, DAP was ‘courteous’ enough to receive the forms. DAP headquarters administration department head Chu Yoon Ming did not comment but accepted the forms in stride.

This has nothing to do with whether one is supporting the opposition or otherwise but somehow, MCA shot themselves on the foot as they have failed in their own backyard as well.

After all, MCA has failed in their own sensational ways. First, they failed in the general elections, losing the support of the Chinese voters. Then, they start picking on their rivals instead of really doing ‘what they should’. Since the General Election, MCA has only been trying to find faults in others but their own.

Seriously, isn’t there other things to do than waste time and cost sending resignation letters to your rivals?

And it was more like a ‘show-and-tell’ because the MCA Youth members actually posted for the media before sending the resignation forms.

This is surely a ‘first’ in Malaysia.

And people are worried about rising standards of living and extremists but they are more worried about their protecting their own political agenda.
