MRT project causing more jams and congestion – WHY NOW?

The Klang Valley is looking forward to the day the MRT or Mass Rail Transit project is completed which is somewhere in 2017. If everything goes on as planned and no delays (like klia2), then that should be the year all the problems and traffic troubles would be over. A year later, the next General Election will be due as well.

However, motorists in the Klang Valley are now facing severe traffic jams and congestions in the areas that the MRT is being built.

Contractors simply blocking access roads
The problem is that the contractors are blatantly blocking the access at these roads. To make matters worse, they are simply blocking junctions with NO consideration of the safety of motorists while endangering the lives of pedestrians on the pavements.

Those are just a small fraction of a lot more other problems that people around Klang Valley are facing. The worst part of it is that they have to endure this for the next 4 YEARS!!

Inhumane conditions
These type of inhumane situations demonstrate how poor the city planning and management in our country. Nothing can be done to change the situation any better because the project is already running and people has no choice but to live through it hoping for a better future after 2017.

The MRT should have been a project 10 or 20 years ago and once it is completed, there will be the MRT, LRT, KL Monorail, KTM Komuter and surely some smart guy will come up with a new project which will make things harder again.

Whose fault is it?
