A video has leaked online which showed Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muyhiddin Yassin saying that prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak had admitted that US$700 million (RM2.6 billion) was transferred into his accounts.

The video showed  Muhyiddin seated next to Kedah Mentri Besar Datuk Mukhriz Mahathir saying that he asked Najib where the money came from. Najib then told him that it was from somewhere in the Middle East without naming names and that it was ‘a lot, a lot’ of money. Asked further, it amounted to US$700million which was about RM2.6billion.

The video was apparently recorded on Tuesday, a day after he was dropped from his deputy prime minister’s post where he entertained several guests at his home. It was recorded from a mobile device where Muhyiddin claimed that he was unaware that someone was recording what was transpiring during the meeting.

This will surely put a bit more twist to the already decaying relationship between the top 2 men in Umno. Lim Guan Eng, the DAP secretary-general has called on Najib to come out and explain these issues but that will surely be falling on deaf ears. Meanwhile, many believes that Muhyiddin will lose his position in Umno very soon.
