DS Najib Chinese TsunamiWith the 13th General Elections over and BN (Barisan Nasional) faring worse than 2008, the coalition’s chairman Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has put the blame on the ‘Chinese Tsunami’.

He warned that the ‘polarisation’ of trends might be a danger to Malaysia which saw many Chinese majority seats falling to the opposition’s DAP. BN retained all of its states while winning back Kedah. However, they failed to capture Selangor despite Najib being the BN chief there. Meanwhile, MCA suffered its worst defeat in history when it only managed 7 parliamentary seats, driving its president Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek to concede that there will be no MCA ministers this time around.
Najib said this during the press conference to declare BN had won the 13th General Election. However, only Umno leaders were present at the media event with no other BN leaders to be seen.
