The Allah issue continues to be a hotly-debated issue as there are still no answers or definite decisions from the government at every level.
While everyone seems to be giving their own interpretations and acting ‘holy’ in every sense, the one man people are expecting to say something seemed to be keeping quiet.
Health Minister Datuk Seri S Subramaniam had said that a decision must be made which was in contrast to what Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Jamil Khir Baharom said which was to wait.
The opposition asked if Najib has changed his mind about the 10-point solution as agreed and announced in 2011 that allowed churches in Sabah and Sarawak to continue using the word. Tony Pua, the national publicity secretary of DAP said that Najib should just declare that the 10-point solution will be honored but so far, he is not making any confirmation. Pua said that the silence will only continue to create more tension and uneasiness among those involved as ministers are all coming out to give their own interpretations over this issue.
Another issue is on the double standards over investigations. Previously the Perak mufti Tan Sri Harussani Zakaria issued a fatwa that declared that it is Halal to spill the blood of those who participated in the New Year’s Eve anti-price rally. Now if that is not seditious, no one knows what is seditious as it sounded somewhat violent.
