Putrajaya to build China-Malaysia Friendship Garden, as expected opposed by Perkasa

According to Umno-owned newspaper Utusan Malaysia, the construction of the Taman Persahabatan China-Malaysia (China-Malaysia Friendship Garden) will be a symbol of the strong ties between both countries.
Designed using Lingan motifs, the garden is located in Precinct 4 in Putrajaya. The ground-breaking ceremony was held recently by Tan Sri Aseh Che Mat, the president of Perbadanan Putrajaya and Hu Chunhua, the CPC Central Committee political bureau member.
As expected, Malay rights wing group Perkasa has come out to oppose the move calling for the project to be cancelled which was supposed to be the latest addition to the The garden will be the latest addition to the permanent site for the Putrajaya Flower and Garden Festival (Floria).
Datuk Ibrahim Ali, the president of Perkasa wants Aseh to maintain Putrajaya and that Lingan designs are better suited for Penang.
