Sovereignty of BM or just weak in English?

In a recent newspaper report, the government spent millions of ringgit employing foreign English teachers to mentor our language teachers.

But the results have gone from bad to worse and from there, it will only continue to deteriorate.

It is all a WASTE OF MONEY!

Everyone who heard the press conference during the MH370 situation would know that some of our so-called leaders have English which is horrendous.

This is a time when the world is watching us.

Why didn’t anyone talk about the ‘sovereignty’ of Bahasa Malaysia?

Why didn’t they use BM to make announcements to the media instead of English?

The answer is simple.

Because their English Language is so weak, it is beyond comprehension.

The Director-General of the DCA or Department of Civil Aviation, Dato’ Azharuddin Abdul Rahman is the best example. Did anyone saw how he spoke like a novice, giving information which was inaccurate and sounding like he has ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA WHAT HE WAS TALKING ABOUT?

IF he was allowed to speak in BM, would it have changed anything?

And then there was the announcement that MH370 had ‘ended’ and that MAS had ‘ASSUME BEYOND REASONABLE DOUBT’ that the plan went down in the ocean.

Are you ASSUMING or is it BEYOND REASONABLE DOUBT? Make up your mind!

Maybe they should learn how to call a spade, a spade. Or perhaps they should continue to harp on the ‘sovereignty of the Bahasa Melayu’ and carry out all the press conferences in BM instead, because either way, no one understood!
