It is hard not to read western media in times like these when credibility of our leaders are in question. It is extremely difficult at troubling times that there are those in power who is not saying anything that helps.
This is not the time to point fingers and the priority is to find the plane first but what we are getting from our ministers and deputy ministers are clouded and ambiguous statements which sound like u-turns and flip-flops.By now, the emotions would have moved from sadness to confusion, anger and more confusion, and who is responsible?
That is somehow normal among our politicians who hold high ministerial positions with little or no credibility.
The problem is, this is not the first time such things have happened.
There are some who usually come out at a time of crisis and be in the spotlight making sensational statement as if trying to score brownie points only to retract and disappear into the background later.
And then there are those who talks a lot but do not seem to know what they are talking about, giving false information and misleading everything.
And then there are those who are supposed to take the lead, but seemed to be ‘silent’, having ‘more important things to do’. Yes, you know who you are.
