What’s all this talk about ministers quitting?

Whether it is connected to the 1MDB ultimatum issued by the PM or not, the world is now watching.

Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal, the Regional and Rural Development Minister bluntly denied that he is quitting his ministerial post. He said that he has no intention of quitting as he had raised issues that was of interest to the nation. Shafie was among those who somewhat criticized the whole 1MDB fiasco.

The prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak recently issued an ‘ultimatum’ demanding his administration to support him and the 1MDB issue or resign. Najib has however denied that such an ultimatum was issued.

Shafie had said that ministers did actually asked questions about 1MDB because there were certain dealings which they were not clear about. This happened during Cabinet meetings prior to this.

His denial came straight after another minister who denied the same thing. That was done through Twitter by Defence Minister Hishammuddin who blamed ‘irresponsible people’ for the ‘negative spin’. He said that such were efforts to split his loyalty and bond with Najib and that he had no intention to quit whatsoever.

So there you have it. All these talk about ministers quitting their posts who are denying any such news.

But quit or stay, it does not matter does it. They will first blame the opposition for trying to create the rift between them and their boss.

But perhaps they should blame the opposition for highlighting the whole 1MDB fiasco in the first place!

Otherwise, no one would have known about what is happening to the money involved that went into billions.
